Downeast Intelligence

Terms of Service

Last updated November 2026

These terms apply to the Downeast Intelligence website, the free AI Business Assessment, and the Client Portal. Our consulting work itself is also covered by the agreement we sign with each client; if the two differ, that agreement wins.

The website and assessment

The AI Business Assessment gives general, estimated guidance based on your answers. It isn't professional, financial or legal advice, and actual results vary.

Client Portal accounts

  • Portal access is by invitation. Keep your password private and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
  • Company owners are responsible for who they invite and for the apps they connect.
  • Don't try to access other companies' information, disrupt the service, or upload harmful files.

Connected apps and automations

  • By connecting an app, you authorize us to use that access only to run the automations agreed with your company. You can disconnect at any time.
  • Automations depend on third-party services (for example Google, Microsoft, Intuit, HubSpot and our automation platform). We monitor and fix problems, but can't guarantee those services are always available.
  • Performance figures marked “estimated” are projections; figures marked “verified” were checked against real data as described in each report.

Your content

You keep ownership of your business information and documents. You give us permission to use them only to provide our services to you.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for the website and portal is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will note the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Questions: ethan@ethangs.com.
